How much of the proceeds go back to the village?

We are committed to linking the world directly with our artisans through ethical sourcing and honest production. Our WYU handmade bags are made by artisans of the Wayuu tribe in Colombia. We work closely with three communities and their leaders under fair trade guidelines. With each bag you purchase, we are able to supply a steady income to each of our artisans and positively impact their communities.

Can I customize my own design?

Yes, you can create variants of our designs at no extra cost. If you want a special design, we will add a $20 fee to the closest model in our lineup. To customize your own bag, please send us an email at info@wyuhandmade.com with your requirements.

Can I pre-order?

Yes, you can pre-order your bag. Once you pre-order yours, please allow 4-6 weeks to produce and send.

When will I receive my bag(s)?

We process orders from Monday-Saturday. Monday to Friday orders are processed until 5 p.m.

Saturday orders are processed until 12 p.m. We use USPS 1st Class & Priority Mail and it normally takes between 2-4 business days to deliver.

Where do you ship from?

We ship to all the United States through USPS 1st Class & Priority Mail from Miami, FL.

How do I clean my bag?

You can use handbag cleaning wipes. These wipes help you get the day-to-day touch-ups and remove surface stains. Avoid using the washing machine. Instead, do it by hand with soft soap using a scrub or a soft brush. Then, hang it in a place where it keeps its original shape to dry it. Preferably in a shade. You can also dry clean it. 

Are returns and exchanges free?

Returns and exchanges are free. If you are not satisfied with your bag, just send us an email to info@wyuhandmade.com and we will send you a return label to return it. Learn more about our Refund Policy.
